IDA Valencia 3 Lyseng IF 2
The Under 15 IDA Valencia team featuring Xavier Thomas Bassett, Roman Wilkinson, Ibraheem Talbot and Zydon Lightbourne Furbert would open their tournament play with a well deserved 3-2 win over Spanish Academy Lyseng IF.
All four Bermuda players started in this match with Thomas Basset in goal, Wilkinson & Talbot in midfield, and Lightbourne Furbert playing at center forward.
Lyseng took an early 1-0 lead when a headed clearance fell to them inside the penalty area and IDA were slow to react to the danger.
Lightbourne Furbert would level the score at 1-1 when he outpaced the defense to slot past the advancing goalkeeper. Moments later Lightbourne Furbert would be the provider for IDA to take a 2-1 lead when he played in a teammate with a through ball behind the defense that was put away.

Lyseng would equalize at 2-2 when the IDA defense was caught on a quick release over top despite several blocks and failed clearances.
IDA Valencia continued to press for a winner and were rewarded when Lyseng were caught inside their penalty area trying to build out against the press and IDA restored the lead at 3-2.
