Brianna Ray and her South Perth teammates faced a tough challenge at the Kingsway Sporting Complex, falling to Wanneroo by 25 runs in a hard-fought cricket encounter.
Wanneroo, winning the toss and electing to bat, set a competitive target of 153/8 in their allotted 20 overs. Bhavisha Devchand was the star of their innings, blasting a brilliant 94 not out. Ray, spearheading the South Perth bowling attack, claimed one wicket for 31 runs in her four overs, while Jean McKinlay was the pick of the bowlers with an impressive 3-wicket haul for just 21 runs.
Despite the challenging target, South Perth fought valiantly with the bat.
