Jairo Henriquez doubled the advantage just before halftime, giving them a commanding 2-0 lead at the break. Ronaldo Damus added a third goal in the 53rd minute, solidifying the victory for Colorado Springs.
Despite the loss, Rhode Island FC's inaugural season was a resounding success. The club achieved a remarkable 9-game unbeaten streak en route to the championship final, including three consecutive road victories in the playoffs.
