Lucas Castree, a Harbour Swim Club athlete and former Saltus Grammar School student, made waves at the prestigious 66th Secondary Schools' Team Championships in England, representing Bede's School and etching his name into the record books not once, but twice!
Castree, known for his explosive speed and underwater prowess, played a crucial role in Bede's 5th place finish in the National English Schools Senior Open/Male 4x50m Freestyle Relay. The team's electrifying performance shattered the Bede's School record with a time of 1:39.10, sending shockwaves through the competition.
But Castree wasn't done yet. He took on the challenging 50m Butterfly leg in the National English Schools Senior Open/Male 200m Medley Relay, propelling Bede's to an 18th place finish overall. More importantly, their time of 1:54.70 obliterated the previous Bede's School record, solidifying Castree's status as a record-breaking machine.
