The SKUSA SuperNationals in Las Vegas is known for its high-stakes Karting action, and this year's edition is proving to be no exception. With the desert sun beating down and tensions running high, Bermuda's top drivers are facing fierce competition in their respective classes.
Scott Barnes and Ryan Rebello, are competing in the Master Shifter by Freem Class, entered the fray with their eyes on the prize. But the Qualifying Round delivered a mixed bag of results. Barnes, a seasoned veteran known for his aggressive driving style, wrestled his Kart to an impressive 11th place in a field of 50. Rebello, however, found himself further down the pack in 30th.
"The track is like a furnace out there," Barnes said, wiping sweat from his brow. "We were aiming for a top 10 qualifying spot, but 11th isn't bad considering the level of competition. This class is stacked with talent. We've made some tweaks to the Kart and found more speed, so we're definitely heading in the right direction. Now it's all about keeping it clean and consistent in the heat races."
Meanwhile, in the KA100 Master by Orsolon Racing Class, Brian Bulhoes faced his own set of challenges. A mechanical issue hampered his qualifying run, leaving him further down the order in 52nd. But Bulhoes, known for his never-give-up attitude and masterful racecraft, is determined to claw his way back to the front.
With the heat races on the horizon, the intensity is only going to ramp up. Can Barnes maintain his momentum and challenge for the podium? Will Rebello unleash his signature overtaking moves and climb through the ranks? And can Bulhoes overcome the odds and stage a comeback drive?
The stage is set for an epic showdown in the desert, and Bermuda's Karting stars are ready to leave it all on the track.
