The Penn State Men's Swimming and Diving team, including Bermudian Olympic swimmer Jack Harvey, traveled to Columbus, Ohio to commence their Big Ten conference schedule against the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Despite strong Individual performances and continued improvement, Penn State were unable to extend their winning streak following a decisive home victory over the University of Pittsburgh, falling to Ohio State by a score of 173-127.
Harvey delivered a solid performance across his events. In the Boy’s 200-Yard Backstroke, he secured a third-place finish with a time of 1:44.87. He also played a key role in the Boy’s 200-Yard Medley Relay, leading off the Penn State 'B' team that ultimately placed fourth with a time of 1:28.09. Individually in the Boy’s 100-Yard Backstroke, Harvey touched the wall in fourth place, clocking a time of 47.64.
Despite the loss, Penn State showcased promising signs heading into the remainder of the Big Ten season. The team will look to build upon their individual successes and strive for victory in their upcoming conference meets.
