Arnezha Astwood and the University of Omaha Men's Soccer team concluded their 2024 campaign with a hard-fought 2 - 1 loss to the fourth-ranked Denver Pioneers on Senior Day at Caniglia Field.
Prior to the match, the University of Omaha recognized twelve graduating seniors, including Astwood, for their contributions to the program.
Astwood, a defender, has been a key figure for the University of Omaha throughout his collegiate career. His accolades include a Summit League All-Tournament team selection in 2023 and a Summit League Peak Performer of the Week Award earlier this season for his defensive efforts and game-winning goal against Loyola-Chicago. Over his four years at Omaha, Astwood has played in 60 games, starting 42.
Despite the loss to Denver, Astwood and his fellow seniors concluded their collegiate careers with a well-deserved recognition for their dedication and achievements on and off the field.
