Following her second match in Australia, Brianna Ray spoke about her time thus far.
Ray told Islandstats.com, “The team has been so welcoming to me here. They’ve got a family vibe which makes the transition so much easier. Training has been good, it’s been exciting to see the level and standard out here in Perth.
All the wickets here are very batter friendly so it’s been tricky with the bowling side of things but I’m starting to understand where to bowl and field settings. Bowling has been coming along very nicely just trying to find some form with the bat but hopefully that will come… don’t want to peak with my batting form too early anyway
I’ve only played two games and we’ve had two losses… don’t think my club has won a game yet so we’re in high spirits to get one soon. Got this coming weekend off with a bye week but hoping to drop into the B grade team to get some confidence with the bat.
All in all it’s been a fantastic experience so far!! I’m very excited to see what the next few weeks up until Christmas looks like. We’re hoping to get into the grand final in the T20 comp but without having won a game we’d have to win everything quite comfortably from now on.”
