Saltus Grammar concluded competing in the 2024 Senior and Under 13 Canadian Accredited Independent Schools (CAIS) Soccer Tournaments.
In their first match on the final day the Saltus Grammar School Senior team were defeated 3 - 1by St. Andrews College.
St. Andrew's College got on the board in the second minute when Jayden Walters scored, St. Andrew's College took a 2 - 0 lead in the 23rd minute when Joe Duke found the back of the net.
Saltus would pull a goal back in the 33rd minute when Zachary McGuire scored from close range, but in the second half Duke scored his second goal of the game to secure the 3 - 1 win.

The Saltus Grammar School's Under 13 football team once again proved their dominance, emerging as the Division 1 Champions at the prestigious Canadian Association of Independent Schools (CAIS) Under 13 tournament.
In an exciting final match, Saltus triumphed over the tournament hosts, Upper Canada College Blue, securing the title for the second consecutive year.
In the semi-final, Saltus delivered a convincing 5 - 0 victory over Crescent School. Jace Postlewhite opened the scoring, followed by goals from Adam Barritt, Roman Gaglio, Xavi Dill, and Vashon Martin. Their well-organized and dynamic play earned them a well-deserved spot in the final, setting the stage for an exciting showdown.
The highly anticipated final saw Saltus take on Upper Canada College Blue, the home team. Adam Barritt set the tone early with a stunning indirect free kick from 22 yards out, quickly followed by Roman Gaglio’s expertly placed chip over the keeper for goal number two. Xonti Burch floated in a beautiful third floater beyond the goalkeeper, and Jace Postlewhite showcased his skill with a fourth goal despite a hard foul just minutes earlier.
Upper Canada College Blue rallied with two quick goals, energizing the home crowd, but Saltus coach John Nusum made strategic substitutions, bringing on Barritt, Mack Browne, and Cai Williams. The reinforcements helped Saltus to regain control, with Browne scoring the fifth goal and Mason Barioni adding a sixth. In the final moments, Gaglio sealed the win with a powerful strike from outside the 18-yard box, bringing the final score to 7 - 2.
Saltus claimed the Division 1 trophy, with Upper Canada College Blue finishing in second place and Crescent School securing third.
This victory cements Saltus’ reputation as a powerhouse in youth football and a proud representative of Bermuda on the international stage.
