Saltus Grammar School took the lead in the 9th minute when Kydan Browne scored, the Saltus Grammar School lead was doubled in the 13th minute with Malik Paynter finding the back of the net. In the 21st minute, Lower Canada College pulled a goal back when Mohamed Ivan Kone scored.
Saltus Grammar School’s two goal lead was restored in the 38th minute as Browne scored his second goal of the game, but Lower Canada College would once again pull within one when Mouhamadou Leye scored in the 65th minute.
In their second match of the day Saltus Grammar School School Senior Boys defeated Appleby College 4 - 2
Appleby took the lead in the 12th minute through a goal from Leo Coviello, Browne would score his third goal of the day for Saltus Grammar School to level the score at 1 - 1 in the 14th minute.
Two minutes later Saltus Grammar School took the lead with Saezjhor Dent finding the back of the net, but in the 16th minute Scott Milligan leveled the score at 2 - 2 when he scored for Appleby.
Brown put Saltus Grammar School back in front with his second goal of this game and his fourth on the day in the 23rd minute, and then Mataio Cameron made it 4 - 2 to Saltus Grammar School with a goal in the 27th minute.
Neither team would find the back of the net for the remainder of the match earning Saltus Grammar School their second win of the day.
In their first match of the day, the Saltus Grammar School under 13 Boy's team took on the St. George’s School Vancouver.
Saltus Grammar School would emerge victorious 3 - 1, in a hard-fought match against a tenacious Royal St. George’s College.
Roman Gaglio opened the scoring with a well-timed goal in the 17th minute. Despite pressure from their formidable opponents and an equalizing goal, Saltus struck again to edge ahead at 2 - 1 early in the second half courtesy of game captain Xonti Burch. Burch offered a brilliant shot from outside the 18-yard box taking the keeper by complete surprise.
Xavi Dill sealed the 3 - 1 victory with a late goal, confirming the team's readiness to overcome the toughest of challenges.
This game was a valuable test for the Saltus Under 13 team. Game captain Burch was voted man of the match for his leadership, but insisted that the successful outcome was a “team effort”.
In their Quarter-Final Crossover match, Saltus Grammar School defeated Upper Canada College White Team 10 - 0 with a barrage of goals, leaving their opponents only able to defend.
Saltus' relentless attack saw goals from multiple players, including Jace Postlewhite, Adam Barritt, Vashon Martin, Mack Browne, Dill (who scored twice), Kobe Dean, Cai Williams with a strike from outside the box, Oliver Anderson, Chance Franks, and Tayte Browne.
The 10-0 win was a statement of intent from Saltus, as they continued their impressive run in the tournament.
With their confidence high and teamwork strong, the Saltus Under 13 team have their sights set on a second consecutive tournament win.
