 Adam Barritt IslandStats.com  Saltus Grammar began competing in the 2024 Senior and Under 13 Canadian Accredited Independent Schools (CAIS) Soccer Tournaments.
In their opening match Saltus Seniors would fall 3 - 0 to St. Andrews College. St. Andrews College got 2 goals from Jayden Walters, while Joe Duke added the other.
In their second match, the Senior team drew 1 - 1 with Upper Canada College, Arslan Khudayar gave Upper Canada College the lead in the 10th minute, but in the 28th minute Saltus drew level with a goal from Isai Gibbons.
First game of the day for the Under 13 team saw them defeat Crescent School 7 - 1. Saltus got two goals from Adam Barritt, while Mack Browne, Roman Gaglio, Jace Postlethwaite, Cai Williams, and Vashon Martin all added a goal each.
In their second match, Saltus Under 13’s overcame St. Andrew’s College with a commanding 8 - 1 victory.
Gaglio opened the scoring with a powerful shot, which was followed by a smooth finish from Postlewhite. Gaglio continued his stellar form, completing a hat trick by halftime, while Oliver Anderson and Xavi Dill added to the lead with goals five and six.
In a surprising move, Tayte Brown came out of goal to score the seventh team goal. Kobe Deane capped the scoring with goal number eight, though Saltus conceded a late penalty, bringing the final score to 8 - 1.
