Koa Goodchild and her Howard University Women's Soccer teammates extended its charge through the Northeast Conference (NEC) with a 3 - 0 shutout victory over Mercyhurst. The victory marked their fourth straight win, pushing the team to 4 and 1 in conference play while Mercyhurst fall to 2-9-3 overall (1-2-2 NEC). Howard started their attack early, netting a goal in the first 15 seconds of the match. A chip to midfield from Kyra Bolden connected with newcomer Gabriella Garcia-Terrell to feed it to Asia Mickens-Perez – marking her first goal this season. Garcia-Terrell made it 2 - 0, thanks to her penalty kick in the 74th minute - her fourth goal of the season. Zoe Moore took Howard's 10th corner of the day where Samantha James was there to play clean-up, posting her second goal of the season for a 3-0 advantage. Reigning NEC Goalkeeper of the Year Trinity Knox recorded two saves in her third shutout of the year.
