The Corsica River Yacht Club, nestled along Maryland’s serene shores, prepares to host a maritime spectacle, the 2024 Comet Class International Championship Regatta. Among the fleet, six skilled skippers unfurl their sails, each bearing the crimson and azure of Bermuda a proud emblem of their island heritage.
Anthony Smith, Rudy Bailey, Dale Brangman, Zaniko Hendrickson, Maxwell Curtis and Gregory Wade will all go to battle.
And then there’s Jack Swikart, a name etched in the annals of Comet racing. He wrestled the Comet International Championship title on the Great Sound last year, he also captured the Edward Cross Long Distance Race title which was a testament to endurance.
