The 2024 R&G British Talent Cup has officially ended with Aeziah Divine reflecting on the season in a post on Social Media.
Divine said, “My season ended with my Mortimer Racing teammate Lucas Brown taking the championship. Congrats on an incredible season!
Despite disruptions at the beginning of my rookie season, I’m proud to have completed 5 of the 8 rounds and made the most out of every minute.
It took a lot coming into BTC while living between Spain and the UK, recovering from a severe hand injury from last season and getting up to pace with new teams, different bikes and the national paddock, but even though there were a lot of challenges, I had an amazing time and can’t wait to return in 2025 with all the insight and experience gained.
I’m looking forward to a strong off-season to continue to build on my racecraft and fitness. Each round revealed strengths and areas to focus on so we’re excited to work with the best people to get me there.
I want to thank Baldolini 25 and Matt for the encouragement and guidance throughout the season, my friends and their families in the paddock who looked out for me, and all my supporters who believe in me.
I wouldn’t have started this year at BTC if it wasn’t for John Cresswell and the Microlise Cresswell Racing team. I will always remember John and am grateful to him for making me feel comfortable and setting up the opportunities he did. Special shout out to Asher Durham for his support all season.
After not having a ride for Snetterton, we’re so thankful to Mortimer Racing for giving me the chance to compete the following rounds with them to continue my season. I received a warm welcome from the beginning and they gave me a great bike and the support to push forward. I really enjoyed learning from Lucas, Alexander & Charlie and appreciate everything that the team did.
I want to say a special thank you to everyone who made it possible for me this season - my parents, brother and sisters, it’s a big sacrifice to be on this journey. It wouldn’t be possible to race without the support of my sponsors and the Bermuda Government’s Department of Sport and Recreation so a massive thank you to them.
With everything I have learned this year and what I’ll be working on over the winner, I can’t wait to be back out and fighting forward!”
