With less than four years to prepare for the LA Olympics 2028 the question should be when does Bermuda cricket turn their attention to T10.
The first competition using this format took place in December 2017, the opening season of the T10 League (now known as the Abu Dhabi T10) in the United Arab Emirates.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) officially sanctioned the league in May 2020, Eoin Morgan, the captain of the England cricket team, supported the idea of using the format at the Olympics, with former international cricketers Virender Sehwag and Shahid Afridi also supporting the idea.
In June 2022, Cricket West Indies became the first full-member cricket board to start a T10 competition, which is called The 6ixty. Later that year, Sri Lanka Cricket and Zimbabwe Cricket announced plans to start their own T10 competitions in 2023.
Currently there is a T10 tournament going on in Europe, over the winter the Bermuda Cricket Board should be looking to discuss with administrators, clubs and players on a way to fit a T10 tournament into the schedule.
