Arnezha Astwood and his University of Omaha Men’s Soccer teammates found a late spark from senior Junior Casillas to give them a 1 - 0 road win at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
The 10th ranked team in the United Soccer Coaches West Region rankings, Omaha posted its third shutout as a team this season and second for senior goalkeeper Nathanael Sallah, the 13th of his career. Omaha out shot Southern Illinois, limiting them to just two second half shots. Sallah grabbed two saves for his 18th career win.
The only goal of the match came in the 69th minute when Omaha's Casillas scored his first goal of the season and seventh of his career, assisted by senior Abdi Adan. Casillas' three shots and two on goal, while Theo Klein led Omaha with four shots and two on goal.
