IslandStats.com
Peter Silvester and his Connecticut College Men's Soccer teammates used two second half goals to defeat host Colby College 2-0 at Serdjenian Field. With the win, Connecticut moves to 3-1-2 on the year and 1-1-2 in NESCAC play.

The opening half generated few chances, however Connecticut had the better of the opportunities. Although Colby recorded the first shot of the contest four and a half minutes in, Connecticut had three corner kicks in the opening 10 minutes, but the Camels were unable to capitalize.

Gavin Mpiana (Cape Town, South Africa) had the first shot for Conn, coming in the 15th minute, but his effort went wide. With just over 15 minutes left in the opening half, Jake Creus (Madrid, Spain) notched the first shot on target for either side, but Brendan McCarthy came up with the save, as the game remained scoreless at the break.

Early in the second half, Connecticut had a glorious chance to open the scoring, earning a freekick, Sam Boehm put the freekick into the box, connecting with the head of Charlie Miles who headed the ball back across goal, where Dylan Hoke pounced, putting Connecticut up 1 - 0 in the 47th minute.

Both teams traded chances for most of the second half, before Connecticut was able to double the lead with 11 minutes left. Matt Scoffone had open space and let a shot fly from outside the box, beating the goalkeeper low to the far post, making it 2 - 0 to Connecticut.

Silvester got the start in goal and faced no shots.
