Koa Goodchild and her Howard University Women's Soccer teammates dropped its first home contest of the season, falling to University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), 2 - 0, at Greene Stadium. Despite the setback, Howard University outshot UMBC, 15-13, led by All-NEC selection Melea Earley with four shot attempts. Meghan McKye put UMBC on the board within five minutes of play, 1-0, thanks to assists from Payton Schenning and Natsha Munro. Moments before intermission, UMBC extended their lead with a goal by Aby Joseph, 2-0.
