Bermuda's Under-14 Boys National Team has secured their place in the semi-finals of the 2024 Caribbean Football Union Tier II Challenge Series, following a flawless group stage campaign.
Bermuda prepares for their upcoming semi-final match on Friday, August 23, 2024, at 7:00 pm against Anguilla the team will be focused on rest, recovery, and continued training to maintain their momentum and strive for ultimate success in the tournament.
Bermuda have showcased exceptional offensive prowess, netting an impressive 20 goals in four matches while conceding only one.
Leading the charge are forwards Jeon Wolfe and Zydon Lightbourne Furbert, who have emerged as the tournament's top scorers with seven and six goals respectively. Bermuda's dominance began with a resounding 4-0 victory over Grenada, highlighted by Wolfe's early two goals. Subsequent wins over Bonaire (5-0) and Sint Maarten (10-1) further cemented their position as tournament favorites.
In their final group stage match, Bermuda faced a stern test against St. Lucia. Despite the grueling heat and fatigue, the young squad persevered, securing a hard-fought 1-0 win thanks to a spectacular long-range strike from captain Z-ani Jennings.
