The 2024 ITF/COTECC Under 12 Team Competition got underway in the Dominican Republic, it was a mixed day for the Bermuda teams.
The Bermuda Boys won their opening match against the Bahamas 2 – 1.
Manuel Maldonado gave Bermuda the lead winning the first match 6-4, 6-0, Oliver Anderson would fall in the second match which lasted 2 hours and 15 minutes 6-4, 4-6, 6-1.
It would come down to Doubles, where Anderson and Maldonaldo took to the court and they would win 6-0, 6-1.
Unfortunately, the Girls went down 2 – 1 to the Dominican Republic One team.
Arianna Parra went down in the first match 6-0, 6-1, but Lee Terceira would bring Bermuda level after winning the second match 7-6, 1-6, 6-4.
Ella Metchnabel and Terceira would take to the court for the Doubles, they would fall in straight sets 6-2, 6-1.
