The Americas Group III of the Davis Cup moved into Day Four of the tournament in Paraguay, and Bermuda picked up a major win over Jamaica.
In the opening match, Daniel Phillips defeated John Chin but needed three sets to do so, Phillips won the first set 6-.1, and the second set saw Chin win 6-0, it would come down to a third set tie-breaker, Phillips would hold his never to win the third set 6-4 and give Bermuda a 1 – 0 lead.
Jamaica would level the match at 1 – 1, when Blaise Bicknell defeated Tariq Simons in straight sets 6-2, 6-0.
Bermuda would then send Trey Mallory and Phillips out to take on Bicknell and Chin in the Doubles, and the Bermuda pair picked up the win to clinch the match 6-4, 6-2.
