Paralympian Jessica Lewis began competing in the World Para Athletics Grand Prix in Nottwil, Switzerland.
Lewis took to the track for the T53 Women’s 200m race, Lewis would power away from her opponents to comfortably win the race in a time of 30:53, Anita Scherrer was second in 33:96, and Joke Stragier was third in 47:73.
Lewis told www.islandstats.com, “The race felt really good! Happy with my start and felt I had a smooth acceleration through the whole race.
I miss competing in the 200m, as it’s not an event offered to my class at the Paralympics, so it was nice to race it for fun. It’s a good confidence boost after Kobe and for the rest of the races here in Switzerland.”
