Round 2 of the R&G British Talent Cup at Donington Park was challenging for Aeziah Divine.
Divine finished 27th in Race One, and 23rd in Race Two.
Divine said, “This was my first weekend riding a full-size UK circuit. It was fast and technical.
Free Practice and Qualifying were difficult. I couldn’t latch onto any groups so spent most of these sessions focused on learning the track and finding the right braking markers, I qualified 28th.
I had a good start in Race 1 but ran quite wide into the first corner, forcing me to lose time. I’m still working to get fully comfortable on the bike but I had a few good battles on the first lap and felt like I was improving and getting faster each time around finishing 27th.
I had a great start in Race 2 but was pushed wide on the second lap and lost the pack in front but continued to push and got my fastest lap of the event. I started to catch back up but was passed by another rider into the chicane which caused me to cut the track at Turn 9/10 so I had to drop back another 3 seconds to avoid the penalty, I finished in 23rd . I knew this would be a tough weekend for me but I felt a lot more comfortable on the NSF by the end of Sunday and can’t wait for the next round at Snetterton in July after the break!”
