Erica Hawley continues her quest to qualify for the Paris Olympics, Hawley recently competed in Chengdu, China,.
Hawley shared her thoughts on her performance on social media.
“Perspective. Initially, I was upset with finishing 14th in Chengdu, but a quick reminder that it’s my best World Cup Olympic Distance result, it improved my ranking, and that’s progress.
I know that last year I would have been happy with this result so I’m trying to be kinder to this year me… I think that when you taste that top 5 you expect to be there at every race as you know what you are capable of :) 2 races in 2 weeks, and 2 more coming up this month. The Dream is still alive.”
