Aeziah Divine took part in the R&G British Talent Cup at Circuito de Navarra in Spain.
Divine’s engine shut down on lap 3 of the Qualifying Round, he would clock a time of 1:55.368, unfortunately, he didn’t get to put in any fast laps as the first “flying lap” he was on was a predicted 1:53 so he had to start the race at the back of the group.
Race One, Divine clocked a 14 lap time of 27:33.052 finishing 20th, Race Two saw Divine finish 25th clocking an 8 lap time of 15:23.122, and Race Three saw Divine finish 21st clocking a time of 26:44.921 finishing 21st.
It was a challenging but successful first weekend for Divine in BTC. A few equipment and mechanical problems forced some sessions to be cut short, including one when Divine was taken out by another rider in the braking zone causing Divine to high-side on Friday afternoon during training.
Race Day’s One & Two ran much smoother besides an engine fault early in Qualifying. Divine was happy to progressively bridge his pace with the other riders, many of whom had already completed the class for several years. Each race he progressed further up the field with strong battles with new and experienced racers in the series.
