Emma Harvey recently continued her bid to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games in France.
Harvey began competing in the World Aquatics Championships in Doha, Harvey set a New National Record time of 1:01.88 in the Bermuda Women’s 100m Backstroke, breaking the previous record time of 1:02.62 set by Kiera Aitken back in August 2008 during the XXIX Olympic Games in Beijing, China.
In her second event of the Championships, Harvey took to the pool for Heat 5 of the Women’s 50m Backstroke, touching the wall in a time of 28.34, which saw her finish 10th overall.
The time would see her break her own Bermuda Open Record time of 28.75, which she set at the CAC Games last June.
Harvey would then compete in the Edinburgh International 2024 Swim Meet, Harvey reflected on her performances recently.
