Scott Barnes began competing in the 2024 Florida Winter Tour - Round 3.
Barnes would take to the track for Practice Round in the ROK Shifter Masters FWT Class, Barnes would finish 6 with a 5 lap time of 4:28.70.
Barnes would win the First Heat of the Day in the Class clocking a 12-lap time of 10:32.69, he would finish more than two seconds ahead of the second-place finisher Charlie Fonseca.
Barnes would repeat the position in the Second Heat of the day this time clocking a 12-lap time of 10:34.90, this time he was more than four seconds ahead of the second-place finisher Jose Montalto.
Barnes’ strong performance day continued when he won the Pre-Final race clocking a 14-lap time of 12:24.37, again finishing more than two seconds ahead of the second-placed finisher Luis Gautier.
Barnes said, “We laid down over 50 laps of racing today here in Orlando, we led every lap but one. This Maranello Kart USA Kart is on rails and the Carblos Racing Engines motor is rocking.”
