Emma Harvey began competing in the World Aquatics Championships in Doha.
In her first event of the Championships, Harvey took to the pool for Heat 5 of the Women’s Backstroke, Harvey would finish the Heat in 7th place, clocking a New National Record time of 1:01.88 breaking the previous record time of 1:02.62 set by Kiera Aitken back in August 2008 during the XXIX Olympic Games in Beijing, China.
Harvey who just missed out on a Semi-Final spot, is just off the Qualifying Standard for the Olympic Games in Paris which is 1:01.79.
