After a thrilling and competitive start to the 2024 season on Day One, the Superkarts! USA Winter Series returned to AMR Homestead-Miami Motorplex presented by MG Tires on Day Two but this time in much different weather conditions. The rain that had been forecast hit the facility hard for the main events, giving those with wet weather prowess an upper hand.
Scott Barnes competed in the Pro/Mas Shifter by PSL Karting/Inter MS Class.
During the Pre Final race, Barnes clocked a winning time of 12:11.062 covering 12 laps, and Barnes in the Final clocked a 12-lap winning time of 12:04.257.
Barnes posted on social media, “After a crazy two days of racing we wrapped up with a fun race in the rain. With only 2 Masters in the field this weekend, we raced with the 13 Pro Shifter karts, but they made us start in the back.
Started the final today in 15th and drove up to 5th overall (1st in class) in a very wet, blinding race.”
