Bermuda Optimist National & Open Championship Day 3

Ahzai Smith was today crowned the Bermuda Optimist National Champion, while Stephen Baker from the USA was crowned the Bermuda Open Champion as the 2017 Bermuda Optimist National & Open Championship concluded.

Smith finished on top of the Bermuda Fleet finishing 9th overall with 86 Net Points, Christian Ebbin finished second and 11th overall with 97 Net Points and Sebastian Kempe finished as the third Bermuda sailor and 13th overall with 115 Net Points.

Baker finished the Regatta with 1 Net Points after 10 races, while USA sailor Thomas Kerrigan finished in second with 37 Net Points, Vanessa Lahrkamp also from the USA was crowned the Female Champion finishing 3rd overall with 45 Net Points.

The Green Fleet was won by USA sailor Maximilian Seuss who finished with 19 Net Points after 12 races, Kipling Rossouw was the first Bermuda Flag sailor and second overall with 33 Net Points, while finishing third was Jack Butterworth another Bermuda sailor with 63 Net Points.
