Jamere Griffin IslandStats.com The 2011 PRO-DAY "Prep Gear" Pre-Season All-American Teams that have included Jamere Griffin, a former native of Bermuda, have been announced and the players represent 11 states and two countries, according to John Gross, senior vice president of PRO-DAY Baseball.
The 2010 ProDay Baseball staff saw hundreds of phenomenal talented seniors last year and helped them advance to the next level of their game. The showcases were held in the southeastern 14 states of the United States.

The 2011 PRODAY "PREP GEAR" Pre-Season All-America teams. The first team is lead by catcher, Jack Cockrum of Prairieville, LA; The first baseman is Wes Neiderland of Thompson, TN; Chipper Smith is at second base from Florence, SC.
The shortstop position is held down by 3-time pre-season selection Jordan Ebert, from Foley, AL; Carlos Pichardo of LaRomana, Dominican Republic is at third base.
The outfield consists of Carnell Montgomery from Lake City, SC in left field; Jaylen Spraggins from Montgomery, AL in center field; and the right fielder is Brandon Peterson from Daphne, AL.
Griffin of Gulfport, MS. is the designated hitter and Jamarli James from Melbourne, FL is the utility player.
The pitching staff includes Cody Vernon of Lewisburg, TN.; Jacob Rodrigue of Thibodaux, LA.; Daniel Tockhorn of Mid Lothian, TX and Brendan Leach from Defuniak Springs, FL.
The players selected participated in one of our National Showcases during the year. Each was nominated and voted on by the college coaches, professional scouts and the Pro-Day staff.
The 6-0, 220lb. junior Griffin from Gulfport, MS captured the 2011 PRO-DAY “Powerade” Home Run Derby Championship in January in Orange Beach, AL. He has a very accurate arm from right-field with arm strength. A former native of Bermuda, Griffin runs a 6.95 in the 60-yrd dash.
