IslandStats.com
Keishen Bean and the Ottawa Fury's undefeated season came to a dramatic halt as the visiting Ocean City Barons scored in extra time to silence the Fury's dreams of a Division Championship and a place in the next round as they fell 2-1.

Liam Maloney got the Fury off on the right foot blasting home a loose ball from a Joel Theissen shot in the seventh minute. The goal brought the capacity crowd to their feet, which had plenty to cheer about all evening long.

Bean played the entire 120 minutes taking 7 shots.

The Fury continued to press and Maloney almost added a second when Andrew Rigby sprung him on a break away but Barons keeper Tunde Ogunbiyi came out to challenge, diffusing the chance despite the Fury's plea for a penalty.

The play settled down as the half wore on as both sides battled for control of the midfield. The Barons had appeared to have tied it late in injury time, but the goal was called back on the offside with the first half ending 1-0 for Ottawa.

The Barons came out strong to start the second half and after a wave of chances the ball fell to JT Noone, who slotted home the tying goal in the 60th minute.

Both teams exchanged chances as the half progress but the goalkeepers from both sides kept their teams level. As extra time seemed imminent the Fury pressed late and Andrew Rigby fired just high and wide as the whistle sound the conclusion of 90 minutes.

In the first half of 15 minutes of extra time Tyler Bellamy put the Barons ahead, touching home a loose ball at the back post.

Ottawa immediately countered with a great chance, but Ogunbiyi stymied the Fury once again. The first 15 minutes of extra time ended with the Barons leading 2-1.

The Fury opened the second half of extra time with a flurry of chances that but were unable tro convert. Headers from Brien Chamney and Alexis Pradie sailed over the goal as did a last minute chance from Florian DeCamps which was followed by the final whistle declaring Ocean City 2009 Northeast Division Champions.
