Bermuda Bowlers Pan American Games Day One

Bermuda Bowlers Damien Matthews and David Maycock took to the Lanes to begin the Men’s Doubles First Block, while Patrice Tucker and June Dill competed in the Women’s Doubles First Block at the Pan American Games.

The First Block sees the 16 two person teams bowl six games each and then they will return on Saturday to bowl the Second Block.

The Bermuda Men’s Pair came off the lanes in 12th place with 2418 Total Pins, with Maycock bowling 1250 and Matthews bowling 1168.

Dill and Tucker finished 16th with 1952 Total Pins, with Tucker scoring 1011 pins and Dill had 941 pins.

The DM Boys from Bermuda will need to be on their game in two days’ time when they return as 263 pins away from a Bronze Medal position.

Maycock’s best game was his second game when he bowled a 258, while Matthews bowled a 265 in the 5th game.

Tucker’s best game came on the fourth game where she scored 198 pins, while Dill also produced her best game in the fourth game bowling 187.
