Positive Image & Hamilton Princess Edge High-Scoring Thrillers

IslandStats.com
Spectators at the PCC Hockey Rink were treated to a breathless evening of attacking firepower as a 25-goal double-header delivered end-to-end drama across two pulsating Bermuda Ball Hockey encounters.

Positive Image Dental came out on top in a 12-goal slugfest to defeat ACT 7-5, before Hamilton Princess held off a determined BDA Spirits fightback to claim a thrilling 7-6 victory.

In the opening clash of the evening, Positive Image Dental relied on a clinical hat-trick from Adam Mattatal to steer them past a persistent ACT outfit.

Noah Vieira weighed in with a crucial brace, while single strikes from Curran Trenouth and Ross Rufiange helped break ACT's resolve in the final third.

ACT pushed their opponents all the way in an open contest, led by two goals from Sean McNulty alongside individual efforts from Riley Latour, Chris Merritt, and William St-Amant, but were unable to bridge the gap in the closing minutes.

The scoring frenzy continued into the nightcap as Hamilton Princess edged BDA Spirits by the odd goal in 13.

Matthew Benson was the star of the show for the Princess, turning in an inspired four-goal performance to pace his side's offensive charge. Matthew Ingleman provided vital support with a well-taken double, while Matt Macphail chipped in with a solitary strike to keep Hamilton Princess in front.

BDA Spirits mounted a spirited chase, finding the net through braces from JM Tremblay and Shane Matchett, as well as contributions from Jeff Loper and Charlie Thorpe. However, despite intense late pressure on the Princess crease, Hamilton Princess stood firm to claim all the points.
