Saltus Grammar School and Warwick Academy claimed the spoils as Bermuda's top secondary school hockey talents faced off in the 2026 Senior School Field Hockey Tournaments at the National Sports Centre.
Saltus produced an unblemished campaign to secure the senior girls' crown with three wins from three, while Warwick Academy held their nerve in key encounters to lift the senior boys' trophy.
Spearheaded by the lethal finishing of Stella Marsh, Saltus Grammar navigated a competitive four-team division with a 100% record to take the 2026 title.
Saltus opened their account in commanding fashion, dispatching Somersfield Academy 3-0 courtesy of a clinical brace from Marsh and a sharp finish by Leilani Peters.
Marsh was on target twice more in their second outing, guiding Saltus to a hard-fought 2-1 victory over a resolute Warwick Academy Blue side, who found the net through Sayla Williams.
The decisive showdown arrived against Warwick Academy White, who entered the contest in contention following a 1-0 win over Somersfield via a Naina Seth strike and a 1-1 derby draw with Warwick Blue, in which Seth and Williams traded goals.
In a high-intensity finale, goals from Holly Lathwell and Marsh proved enough to hand Saltus a 2-1 triumph and the championship, despite a spirited reply from Warwick White's Hayleigh Cherry.
Somersfield Academy picked up a victory of their own in the group stage, edging Warwick Blue 2-1 thanks to strikes from Anya Aeleishe Pearman and Della Masters, while Alex Llewellyn-Jones replied for Blue.
In the senior boys' event, Warwick Academy displayed impressive tactical composure in two razor-thin encounters to emerge as tournament champions.
Somersfield Academy had earlier laid down a formidable marker by cruising past Saltus Grammar 4-1, with Louis Manning and Will Bohus each netting twice before Dylan Eisalt grabbed a consolation for Saltus.
However, Warwick Academy quickly stamped their authority on the event, holding off Saltus 3-2 in an end-to-end clash. A double from Michael Schrah and a vital contribution from Max Kimberley proved decisive, fending off Saltus replies from Johny Bart and Ryan McLean.
With the championship on the line against an in-form Somersfield side, Warwick Academy delivered a disciplined defensive display, with Will Britten striking the lone goal in a tense 1-0 victory to seal the title.
