Standout Adam Hall etched his name further into the Winnipeg Goldeyes history books as his side held on for a narrow 3-2 victory over the at Blue Cross Park.
Hall finished 1-for-2 with a run scored and a milestone stolen base, while a first-inning blast from Ray-Patrick Didder proved decisive.
The Goldeyes struck decisively in the bottom of the first inning:
Third baseman Ramón Bramasco opened with a leadoff walk before Hall was struck by a pitch.
Shortstop Didder punished the DockHounds immediately, launching a line-drive three-run home run to left field—his 20th of the campaign—to give Winnipeg an early 3-0 cushion.
Lake Country starter Trey Riley surrendered all three runs in that turbulent first frame, though reliever Bryce Ehr contained the Goldeyes thereafter with seven scoreless innings of five-hit ball.
The DockHounds threatened in the top of the third when Cole Fuecker and Jake Allgeyer singled, setting up Ray Zuberer III to drive in both runners with a two-out single to centre field, trimming the deficit to 3-2.
Winnipeg's bullpen stepped up to preserve the lead for the remainder of the contest:
Starter James Colyer conceded two earned runs on four hits across three innings, striking out five without a walk.
Luke Boyd delivered five shutout innings of relief, scattering two hits and one walk while fanning five.
Derrick Cherry closed the door in the ninth, striking out two to secure the win.
Kevin García and Bramasco led the hosts' attack with two hits apiece, with García claiming the lone double of the contest.
Hall's stolen base in the fifth inning was his 44th of the season, moving him into a tie with Adam Heisler (2015) for the third-highest single-season tally in Goldeyes history.
Only Brian Duva (55 in 1997) and franchise record-holder Fehlandt Lentini (57 in 2006) have stolen more bases in a single campaign for the club.
