The 2025/26 Commercial Bowling League season reached its conclusion at Warwick Lanes, with Strike Force officially confirmed as champions despite a final-night stumble against the mid-table Pin Heads.
In a season defined by consistency and high-scoring series, Strike Force entered the final round of fixtures with the title already within their grasp. Their coronation was slightly dampened by a resilient performance from sixth-place Pin Heads, who defied the league standings to secure a 3-1 victory over the champions. However, the result did little to spoil the celebrations for Strike Force, who have remained the team to beat throughout the winter campaign.
The race for the runner-up spot provided the evening's most significant drama, as second-place Too Legit To Split suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat at the hands of the Sweet Life. The third-place side produced their finest performance of the season when it mattered most, shutting out their rivals to finish the year on a high and solidify their position on the overall podium.
There was further movement in the middle of the pack as fifth-place Secret Weapons maintained their momentum with a professional 3-1 win over the Horseshoe Bay Rollers. The result ensured the Secret Weapons finished comfortably in the top half of the standings, while the Rollers were left to rue missed opportunities in a season of transition.
The most surprising scoreline of the finale came from the bottom half of the table, where ninth-place Butt and Vallis produced a clinical display to shut out fourth-place Who Gives A Split with a 4-0 victory. The clean sweep served as a reminder of the competitive depth within the league, as the basement side dominated one of the division’s most consistent performers.
With seventh-place Spare Parts taking their scheduled bye, the league now enters its summer hiatus. While the individual accolades and final averages are yet to be finalized, the 2025/26 season will be remembered for the dominance of Strike Force, who successfully navigated a challenging field to claim the ultimate prize in Bermudian commercial bowling.
