Hall Set for World Baseball Classic Debut

IslandStats.com
Bermudian-Canadian infielder Adam Hall is preparing for the pinnacle of his international career as Team Canada prepares for their 2026 World Baseball Classic opener in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Selected as a versatile addition to a roster boasting unprecedented depth, the former Baltimore Orioles second-round pick is set to suit up for his country for the first time since his junior national team days.

The journey for the "Maple Leaf" squad begins tomorrow, March 7th, with a critical Pool A clash against Colombia at the Hiram Bithorn Stadium. Following the opener, Canada faces a relentless round-robin schedule, including matchups against Panama, Puerto Rico, and Cuba, as they look to secure a top-two finish and advance beyond the group stage for the first time in tournament history.

For Hall, the call-up marks a significant milestone in a professional career recently hampered by injuries, including a torn meniscus that sidelined him during the 2025 season. Now healthy and part of a lineup that veteran manager Ernie Whitt describes as "Major League quality" across every position, Hall remains a key focal point for fans back in Bermuda.

Before the first pitch is thrown in San Juan, Hall will sit down with Islandstats at 3:00 pm today to discuss the team's preparation, the challenges of Pool A, and his own road to the World Baseball Classic.
