Ball Hockey Winter Break Stats & Standings

IslandStats.com
The Bermuda Ball Hockey Winter League has reached its mid-season hiatus, with Positive Image Dental sitting pretty at the top of the standings as the league pauses until 2026. After a period plagued by persistent rain, which saw several scheduled dates at the PCC Hockey Rink washed out, the recent flurry of completed matches has provided a clear picture of the title race.

Positive Image Dental have established themselves as the team to beat, amassing 19 points to hold a four-point cushion at the summit. They are followed by Hamilton Princess on 15 points, while ACT remain firmly in the hunt, rounding out the top three with 12 points.

The leaders' success has been mirrored in the individual statistics. Louis Sujir has been a revelation for Positive Image Dental, leading the overall points race with 28. He is currently being chased by Shane Matchett of ACT and Hamilton Princess’s Mathew Benson, who are locked together in joint-second with 20 points apiece.

The race for the Golden Stick is proving to be a classic duel. Louis Sujir and Hamilton Princess’s JM Tremblay are inseparable at the top of the goalscoring charts, with both players finding the net 13 times before the break. Dallas Montgomery of CG follows closely in third with 12 goals.

When it comes to providing for others, Sujir again leads the way with 15 assists. He is followed by Shane Matchett, who has registered 12 helpers for ACT, while Jeremy Estey (CG) and Christopher Merritt (Spine & Sport) are tied for third with 11 assists each.

The battle between the pipes has been equally competitive. Hamilton Princess’s Yves Paul leads the goaltending department with a league-best 3.75 goals-against average. He is narrowly ahead of Chris Thilbault of BDA Spirits, who sits in second at 4.00, while ACT’s J. Riggnas holds the third spot with an average of 4.17.

With the narrowest of margins across the individual leaderboards and a tight chasing pack in the standings, the stage is set for a thrilling conclusion when the league resumes in the new year.
