Bermuda National Team bowler Lamar Richardson has delivered a statement of intent ahead of the International Bowling Federation (IBF) World Bowling Championships, rolling his 14th career 300 game during the latest round of the Continental Bowling League.
Richardson's perfect game came during Week 11 of the 2025/26 season at Warwick Lanes, providing the ideal tune-up before the six-man squad departs for the World Championships in China.
His fellow National Team member, LeVinc Samuels, also showcased exceptional form, registering a spectacular high scratch series. Samuels recorded high scores of 279, 276, and 258 to compile a magnificent 813 series, underscoring the strong preparation of the island’s top bowlers.
The high individual scores coincided with a series of upsets that dramatically shuffled the league standings.
In the headline shock of the evening, the third-placed Under Dawgs stunned the previously dominant league leaders, Nifty Rollers, winning the match-up 17–10. This crucial victory cuts the lead at the top of the table and blows the title race wide open.
Second-placed Astronauts secured a valuable win over the fifth-placed Cubs with a 15.5–11.5 scoreline, maintaining pressure on the Nifty Rollers. Meanwhile, the fourth-placed Odd Balls demonstrated their top-four credentials by defeating the seventh-placed Spicenix 17–10.
Lower down the standings, the sixth-placed The Invaders edged out a narrow 14–13 victory over the eighth-placed New Hope, highlighting the fierce competition across the league. The ninth-placed Sunset team received the bye for the week.
The strong performances by the National Team bowlers, particularly the perfect game from Richardson, will give the Bermuda squad considerable confidence as they prepare to take on the world’s best in Hong Kong.
