Budgies 3 Pink Robins 3
The 2025/26 Bermuda Field Hockey season began with a bang at the National Sports Center, as the Budgies and Pink Robins played out a dramatic 3-3 draw. The match was defined by its back-and-forth nature, with each goal being answered by an immediate reply from the opposition.
The Budgies took an early lead in the 10th minute with a field goal from Katie Brangman. However, just sixty seconds later, the Pink Robins' Jennifer Chisnall responded with a field goal of her own to level the scores.
The pattern repeated itself in the second half. The Pink Robins went ahead in the 49th minute thanks to a field goal from Abby Brewer, but the Budgies were level within a minute after Francesca Cacace Lawrence found the net.
With the game in its final stages, Brangman scored her second field goal in the 53rd minute to give the Budgies the lead once again. Yet, the Pink Robins refused to be beaten, as Margaux Ellison fired home a field goal a minute later to ensure the points were shared in a thrilling season opener.
