Another action-packed triple header at the Michael Preece Softball Diamond saw a further 76 runs cross the plate, highlighting the offensive firepower on display in the Bermuda Softball League.
The opening game witnessed a dominant performance from the One Hit Wonders, who powered their way to a 24-8 victory over the B&V Sliders. The One Hit Wonders' bats were scorching hot, with Nathan Samuels leading the charge. He went 3 for 5 at the plate, smashing two home runs and driving in an impressive six runs. His teammate Joe Barroso was equally destructive, going a perfect 4 for 4, also hitting two home runs and collecting five RBIs. Despite the offensive onslaught from the One Hit Wonders, Melody Rand managed to contribute two RBIs for the B&V Sliders in her 2 for 4 outing.
Game two saw a tighter affair, but ultimately the BGA Hammers proved too strong for the Slug Pirates, securing a 19-10 victory. Andre Carr was a key contributor for the Hammers, going 3 for 4 with a double, a home run, and four RBIs. Aaron Bloom, also from the BGA Hammers, mirrored Carr's plate performance, going 3 for 4 with a double and four RBIs. For the Slug Pirates, Matt Dalaney managed a double and a home run, driving in two runs in his 2 for 3 at-bats.
The final game of the night provided the closest contest, with Bat & Bougie narrowly edging out the Odd Balls 9-8. Jez Burrows was instrumental for Bat & Bougie, going 2 for 4 with a triple and two RBIs. Despite Jeff Chisnall's solo home run and two RBIs for the Odd Balls in his 1 for 4, it wasn't enough to secure the win.
The consistent high-scoring affairs at the Michael Preece Softball Diamond continue to showcase the exciting and competitive nature of the Bermuda Softball League, promising more thrilling action for fans to come.
