The Bermuda Softball League continued its lively season at the Michael Preece Softball Diamond with a triple header that saw a total of 97 runs thunder across the plate.
The opening match saw Fundamental Standpoints emerge victorious over the Bad News Beers with an 11-4 scoreline. Dylan Somerville was the offensive powerhouse for Fundamental Standpoints, achieving a perfect 3 for 3 at the plate, which included a double, a home run, and four runs batted in (4 RBIs). Despite the loss for the Bad News Beers, Cameron Neal provided some fireworks, going 2 for 3 with two home runs and two RBIs.
The second and final game of the night was a high-octane affair, with Team Smokey defeating the Raggamuffins in a 26-17 slugfest. Team Smokey's dominant performance was spearheaded by Garic Swainson, who had an outstanding night at the plate, going a perfect 5 for 5, including a home run and driving in six runs (6 RBIs). For the Raggamuffins, Jade King also had a strong offensive showing, going 2 for 5 with a double, a home run, and four RBIs, but it wasn't enough to overcome Team Smokey's powerful attack.
The Pitch Invaders put on a dominant offensive display to defeat KillaWhat 25-14.
The Pitch Invaders' powerful hitting was spearheaded by Kontai Fox, who had an exceptional day at the plate, going 3 for 4 with a double and two home runs, driving in an impressive nine runs (9 RBIs). Jelani Richardson also contributed significantly to the Pitch Invaders' high score, also going 3 for 4 and hitting a home run while collecting eight RBIs.
