Slugfest at Preece Diamond Sees Softball Runs Flow

The Michael Preece Softball Diamond was the venue for a high-scoring triple header as the Bermuda Softball League season continued to deliver excitement for the fans. A staggering total of 91 runs crossed the plate across the three games.

The night opened with a dominant offensive display from Hakuna Matata Lions, who roared to a 19-7 victory over the Beach Bums. Stephen Smith was a key contributor for the Lions, going 1-for-2 from the plate, which included a home run and four runs batted in (RBI). Despite the loss, Corey Sinas provided some firepower for the Beach Bums, going 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs.

The second game of the evening saw the Paraquet Flyers soar to a 15-9 win over the Plantano Power. Andrew Simpson was the standout performer for the Flyers, enjoying a perfect night at the plate, going 4-for-4 with two home runs and five RBIs. For the Plantano Power, Antonio Adon went 2-for-3 and contributed two RBIs.

The final game of the night was a barnburner, with the Moongate Brewers outslugging the Kings in a high-scoring 25-16 affair. Mike Skat was the offensive powerhouse for the Brewers, going 2-for-5 with two home runs and a massive seven RBIs. Despite the loss, Richard Campbell put on a strong offensive display for the Kings, going 4-for-5 with a home run and five RBIs.

The triple header at the Michael Preece Softball Diamond showcased the offensive capabilities across the league, providing plenty of action and runs for the enthusiastic spectators.
