The Michael Preece Softball Diamond was the venue for a thrilling night of action, with two high-scoring encounters producing a combined total of 75 runs as the Softball League season continued its exciting pace.
The first game of the double header saw Bat & Bougie power their way to a 21-9 victory over the B&V Sliders. Liam Evans was the standout for Bat & Bougie, going 4-for-5 with a triple, a home run, and 4RBI’s. He was well supported by Matthew Hayward, who also went 4-for-5 and contributed 4RBI’s. For the B&V Sliders, Daemon Hanley managed a home run and 3RBI’s, going 1-for-3 at the plate.
The nightcap continued the trend of high scores as a barnstorming affair between One Hit Wonders and the BGA Hammers, with One Hit Wonders eventually clinching a 25-20 victory. Sam Vieira was the star with the bat for One Hit Wonders, going 4-for-5 at the plate, including two home runs and driving in an impressive five runs (5RBI’s). Despite the loss for the BGA Hammers, Dujuan Simons also had a fantastic offensive performance, going 4-for-5 with two doubles and 3RBI’s.
The two high-scoring games at the Michael Preece Softball Diamond underscore the offensive firepower within the league and provided plenty of entertainment for the fans in attendance.
