The Commercial Bowling League season at Warwick Lanes saw the title race become even more competitive as league standings shifted, with both the top teams and lower-ranked teams in action.
The most significant result of the week saw league leaders Pin Heads suffer a 3-1 defeat to second-placed Secret Weapons. This result has dramatically closed the gap at the top of the table. Pin Heads now have 62.5 winning points, while Secret Weapons have 62 winning points, putting them just half a point behind the leaders.
However, third-placed Who Gives A Split failed to capitalize on Pin Heads' slip-up. They were surprisingly shut out 4-0 by sixth-placed Strike Force, missing a crucial opportunity to climb to the top of the standings.
In other matches, eighth-placed Butt & Vallis delivered a strong performance, shutting out ninth-placed Sweet Life 4-0. Fourth-placed Too Legit To Split had a bye week, allowing them to maintain their position, and seventh-placed Spare Parts were defeated 3-1 by the Bailey’s Bay Strikers.
