Few would have predicted such a result, with Spare Parts languishing in the bottom half of the table. However, they produced a spirited performance, demonstrating accuracy and consistency to dismantle the previously dominant Pin Heads. This unexpected defeat will undoubtedly send shockwaves through the league and inject fresh hope into the chasing pack.
Capitalizing on Pin Heads' slip-up were second-placed Who Gives A Split. They ruthlessly dispatched eighth-placed Sweet Life, delivering a comprehensive 4-0 whitewash. This dominant display sees them significantly close the gap on the leaders and firmly establish themselves as serious contenders for the league crown.
Meanwhile, third-placed Bailey’s Bay Strikers had a week off, observing the drama unfold from the sidelines. They will no doubt be eager to return to action next week and capitalize on the shifting landscape at the top of the table.
