Ball Hockey League Delivers Another Goal-Filled Night

The Bermuda Ball Hockey Winter League continued its high-scoring trend with another action-packed doubleheader at the PCC Hockey Rink, providing fans with a total of 20 goals.

Despite numerous delays due to inclement weather, the league is making up for lost time with thrilling, offensive displays.

Frontier 1 Spine & Sport 7

In the opening match, Spine & Sport secured a convincing 7-1 victory over Frontier. The first period ended with the teams locked at 1-1, with Frontier's John Duda and Spine & Sport's Jeremy Estey exchanging goals.

However, Spine & Sport took control in the second period, scoring three unanswered goals courtesy of Ryan Marshall, Estey, and Randy Elgersma to take a 4-1 lead.

They continued their dominance in the third period, adding three more goals to their tally. Estey completed his hat-trick, while Marshall added another to his name.

Positive Image Dental 5 Hamilton Princess 7

The second game of the night proved to be a back-and-forth affair, with Hamilton Princess ultimately emerging as 7-5 victors over Positive Image Dental.

The first period saw a flurry of goals, with the teams tied at 3-3 at the break. Positive Image Dental took an early 2-0 lead through Shane Matchett and Matt Mcphail, but Hamilton Princess responded with goals from Noah Vieira and John Portelli to level the score. Nathan Kowalski put Positive Image Dental back in front before Mathew Katzsch tied it up again for Hamilton Princess.

Hamilton Princess took control in the second period with two unanswered goals from Vieira and Kevin Albrecht, giving them a 5-3 advantage.

Positive Image Dental fought back in the third, with Matchett scoring his second goal to reduce the deficit to 5-4. However, Anthony Kapsimalis responded with two goals for Hamilton Princess, extending their lead to 7-4. Sam Viera added a late consolation goal for Positive Image Dental.

This high-scoring doubleheader provided further evidence of the exciting and competitive nature of the Bermuda Ball Hockey Winter League. With goals galore and plenty of drama, fans can expect more thrilling action as the season progresses.
