In a game that had more twists and turns than a Bermuda road, the Hamilton Princess edged ACT 7-6 in a thrilling shootout victory at the PCC Hockey Rink. The lone match of the night in the Bermuda Ball Hockey Winter League delivered an offensive explosion, with 13 goals lighting up the scoreboard.

Hamilton Princess 7 ACT 6

ACT drew first blood in the opening period with a goal from Ian Beaudoin. But the Hamilton Princess stormed back with a vengeance, rattling off three unanswered goals. James Vansickle scored twice, while Richard Campbell added another to give the Princess a 3-1 lead.

The second period saw ACT roar back into contention. Beaudoin completed his hat-trick with two more goals, but Campbell responded with his second of the game to maintain a slim 4-3 advantage for the Princess heading into the final frame.

The third period was an absolute rollercoaster. ACT took the lead with goals from Jake Fenske, Satish Balendran, and John King. Just when it seemed like ACT had wrestled control, the Princess responded with a late surge. Mathew Benson found the back of the net, and Campbell completed his hat-trick to level the score at 6-6 and force a dramatic shootout.

In the shootout, it was Benson who emerged as the hero, burying the decisive goal to secure the victory for the Hamilton Princess.

This high-scoring thriller served as a reminder of the excitement and intensity that the Bermuda Ball Hockey Winter League brings to the rink every week.
