The Bermuda Field Hockey season stormed back into action at the National Sports Center, with the Hurricanes delivering a dominant performance in a 5-0 rout of the Dark & Stormies.
The Hurricanes wasted no time asserting their dominance, taking the lead in the 19th minute with a field goal from Georgia Harris. Makie De Sousa doubled the lead just six minutes later, showcasing his scoring prowess with a clinical finish.
The second half saw the Hurricanes continue their offensive onslaught. De Sousa completed his hat trick with two goals in quick succession, finding the back of the net in the 43rd and 44th minutes. Joanna Heaney capped off the scoring with a field goal of her own, securing a resounding victory for the Hurricanes.
De Sousa's hat trick was the highlight of the match, demonstrating his skill and precision in front of goal. The Hurricanes' defense was equally impressive, keeping a clean sheet and limiting the Dark & Stormies' scoring opportunities.
